Do you know how mobile your business is? I don't mean can you move your staff and products around the country; I mean do your users and customers have access to you wherever you or they are in the world? But more importantly do you have access to them? Ensuring that your business is mobile and able to react to the demands of your customers and other individuals quickly and precisely is one of the keys to running a successful and profitable business. Although it may be a costly or time consuming process there are so many advantages that it is definitely worth looking in to it further. So once you have asked yourself if your company is mobile, you need to ask yourself how you can make it mobile if it isn't, and why it needs to be.

Recent research has shown that in Great Britain alone, 73% of adults use the internet every day; that's 36 million people. It also showed us that the number of individuals accessing the internet via a mobile device had more than doubled between 2010 and 2013 stating that over half (53%) of internet usage was carried out on a mobile device. These are staggering figures and really highlight the importance of ensuring that your business or organisation has the capabilities of reaching this ever growing audience of mobile internet users. A smart business owner understands that the world is a changing place and it is important to change with it so that you can consistently have access to your target audience and other customers and users.

The Benefits of Mobility Management in a Business

There are a great deal of other benefits to becoming mobile, and ultimately ensuring that your business has the best chance of surviving the continuous changes in the business environment. However, doing it alone can be incredibly different due to the nature of what needs to be done to ensure the smooth running of the applications, and this is where a management system comes in. Some of the advantages of using a management system are:

Application Management

It can be very difficult for a general systems administrator to do everything that may be necessary to keep a mobile device operational and up to date, including routine tasks such as application installation, configuring settings and deployments which may need to be done remotely. As a result of this the specialised expertise and equipment that a mobility management system can provide can prove to be valuable to the organisation if they choose to outsource their mobile device management.

Financial Management

The enterprise mobility management system is also able to work around the various financial costs to the business of providing mobile devices to staff and can help businesses to control and plan for any costs that may be associated with a mobile device such as the contract and voice and data transactions.

Security

Security is incredibly important when using a mobile device due to the fact that they can be easily lost or stolen. A great deal of control is lost when data is available on a mobile device, and it is not always possible to know who has access to that data. With the help of a mobile management system your mobile data can be secure and your mobile device can be impenetrable to those who do not have the authority to access it. They can include security protocols such as passwords; encryption and remote wipe technology which allows an administrator to remove all information in the event of a security breach.
